PassKit & codeREADr Integrate for Verifiable Patron Check-Ins
Digital QR Passes Allow for Contactless Attendance Tracking
Patrons Incentivised to Register in Advance and Use their Digital Pass Onsite to Receive Rewards
As businesses restart in-person operations, there is great concern about how to meet regulations for track and trace measures. Spurred by the request of BOXPARK in London, UK, PassKit turned to codeREADr to fulfill the need for contactless barcode scanning.
Roger Wade, Founder and CEO of BOXPARK commented:
“Initially we were concerned about meeting the [UK] Government requirements which were announced just a week before restaurants, pubs and bars were allowed to reopen, but we quickly identified a smart solution to use our existing membership card as a mechanism for capturing the required data.
We are extremely proud of our digital BOXPARK Black Card solution. And this would not have been possible without the PassKit + CodeREADr integration. A solution that is seamless for both customers and our operational staff. Thanks to PassKit’s solution, we have enhanced the contactless experience for customers. Essentially, we created an incentive for them to register their details before they come to our sites. It’s an exciting process which is already working amazingly well.”

Businesses use PassKit to extend their mobile reach by integrating Apple Wallet and Google Pay passes into their customer experiences. Then, use passes for digital coupons, loyalty cards, membership cards, entry tickets, and more. Also, conveniently store the passes in Apple Wallet and Google Pay, which are popular for contactless payments. Then, scan the displayed barcode by the codeREADr mobile app. Here, you can use the built-in camera of Apple and Android smartphones or tablets, and dedicated scanning devices. Then, it will instantly validate the Pass against the PassKit database. Moreover, it will store the appropriate information on PassKit’s servers.
