Fast and Efficient QR Code Scanning: Optimal Labels for Asset and Attendance Tracking

QR codes are increasingly becoming the go-to method for labeling assets, offering simplicity and efficiency in scanning. For instance, a code containing just ‘1234567890’ will scan much faster than one with additional data. The choice of label material is critical, especially considering environmental factors. Some popular options include:

• Vinyl (LMV5000): Perfect for outdoor conditions, resisting temperatures up to 176⁰F and moisture, with a low gloss finish for better scanning in bright conditions.
• Polyester (LMP6000 – also known as LPA7031): Offers durability against chemicals and moisture, suitable for temperatures up to 300⁰F, and has a medium gloss finish.
• Polypropylene (LMR4016): Known for excellent adhesion on various surfaces, moisture resistance, and suitability for temperatures up to 200⁰F, with a high gloss finish.
